Rachel Vannatta

Rachel Faye Vannatta, 43, of Anderson gained her heavenly wings on Thursday, April 29, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family. Rachel was born on August 24, 1977 in Anderson to Larry and Jo Ann (Lagle) Cardwell. Rachel married the love of her life, Christopher Vannatta on August 20, 2005 in Pendleton, IN. Rachel worked for Manor Care as an activities assistant for 20 plus years. She found her spiritual home at Connection Pointe church and was very involved in the church and its activities. She was the kindest person you have ever met and with a heart of gold. She will never be forgotten. Rachel will be dearly missed by her husband of 15 years, Chris; her son, Christopher Ray Vannatta; her mother, Jo Ann Cardwell; her brothers, David Cardwell and Timothy Cardwell; her twin sister, Mary Cardwell; her sister, Patricia (James) Dodson; numerous nieces and nephews; her best friend, Jessica Kendall; and her chosen Church family. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry and her mother-in-law, Emily Fry. The visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2021 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Tim Bailey officiating.
