Phyllis Jean Blanton

Phyllis Jean (Kersey) Blanton, 80, of Muncie, passed away on July 13, 2022 at her residence.  She was born on February 16, 1942 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to the late Dalton and Merle (Crenshaw) Kersey.

Phyllis retired as a Funeral Home Assistant from Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service – Lahm Chapel in Pendleton.  She was a member of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, MU Chapter and the Eastern Star.  She enjoyed westerns, crossword puzzles, coloring on her Ipad and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Chris Blanton of Muncie, Britney (Daniel) Olson of Anderson, Shannon (Jerry) Stewart of Muncie; grandchildren, Logan Brinker, Shawn Olson, Mycala Brinker, Brooke Stewart, Jack Stewart and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack Blanton.

Services will be on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with burial at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
