Phyllis E. Funk

Phyllis E. Funk, 88, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following a brief illness.
She was born on November 19, 1930, in Lapel to Leslie and Helen (Valentine) Wise.
Phyllis was graduated from Lapel High School in 1949.
She retired from the former Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson.
Phyllis was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church and was an avid Pacers and I U basketball fan.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Meg Blake; one brother, Gene Wise; and three sisters, Shirley Whisman, Nancy Hazelbaker, and Delores Vannoy; two step-grandsons, John and Rick Ammons; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Herman Montgomery; her second husband, Ted Funk; and three brothers, Richard, Willis, and Eddie Wise.
Private family graveside rites were held at Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
