Phyllis Ann McKay, 76, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Carmel. She was born March 11, 1943, in Somerset, Kentucky to the late James & Dorothy (Gill) Beasley. Phyllis was known for her glass art. She enjoyed working, making people happy, and liked talking politics. She was a proud mother who doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Ira Ashley McKay; son, Rodney B. (wife, Diane) Creamer; special niece/daughter, Brandi (wife, Andrea Moll) Wallace; stepson, Bret (wife, Sandy) McKay; grandchildren, Ashley (husband, Jon) Ireland, Kayla (husband, Matt) Linkous, Grace Creamer, Kylee Hosier, and Corey Smith; great grandchildren, Ashton, Kyeson, Drew, Evan, Kora, Ella, & Myles; special friends, Lori & Dean Townsend and Sharon Livingston. She was preceded in death by her sister & brother-in-law, Linda & Dennis Wallace. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent Anderson Regional Foundation, Cancer Center. The family would like to extend their gratitude toward Dr. Sharief, the staff at the St. Vincent Anderson Regional Cancer Center, and Dr. Agapios, for the care they showed Phyllis through her fight.
