Phyllis Ann “Pinky” Magers, 85, of Anderson, passed away October 14, 2015 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus after an extended illness.

She was born in Anderson on September 20, 1930 to the late John and Marjorie (Gwinn) Hoffman and had resided in Anderson all of her life.

She graduated from Lapel High School in 1948 and then Indiana Business College. She had worked for Production Credit Company and 15 years for E.C. Schleyer Pump Company.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Anderson and was a volunteer with R.S.V.P. with Love Bears Program for 15 years.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Eugene J. “Gene” Magers of Anderson; her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Beth Magers of Noblesville; two grandson, John Magers and Dan Magers both of Noblesville; and her special caregiver, Sandra Brizendine.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Bethany Pointe Health Campus for all the care given to Pinky over the years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
