Phillip B. Junkersfeld, 72, of Anderson, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning at his residence in Haine City, Florida. He was born on September 11, 1944 to the late Peter and Coletta (Riga) Junkersfeld in Anderson. Phillip grew up in “The Acre” with his 10 brothers and sisters. He was a Journeyman and business owner in the local sheet metal trade. He enjoyed old cars, playing bridge, and golfing. He loved sports and coached youth basketball and baseball. Phillip is survived by his wife, Kathy (Kerlin) Junkersfeld of Anderson; children, Julie (Peter) Gillis of Anderson, Lori (Steve) Kees of West Chester, Ohio, Steve Junkersfeld of Bradenton, Florida, Jeana Wagner of Anderson, Jodi (Randy) Moore of Powell, Ohio, and Aaron (Cammie) Junkersfeld of Carmel; siblings, Catherine Holtzleiter, Mary (Ron) Kimm, Henry (Vee) Junkersfeld, and Roy Junkersfeld; 19 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Hilda Gordon, Ray Junkersfeld, Herman Junkersfeld, Agnes Day, and Ernie Junkersfeld. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
