Philip Brian Anthony

October 15, 1961 — April 6, 2024

Philip Brian Anthony, 62, of Markleville Indiana, passed away at his home on April 6, 2024.

Philip was born in Oakland California on October 15, 1961 to Billy and Ernestine Anthony. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School of Mt Diablo in 1980, was a certified auto mechanic, and went on to work in the boating industry for several years. A change in career path led Philip to work as a journeyman plumber for 10 years. Unfortunately, due to medical issues he had to retire early.

Phil was happily married to Kimberly Anthony for 27 years and was a Markleville resident for the past 5 years. He loved spending time with his family and pets. He had a “tinkers” heart and treasured time working on classic cars, in particular his 1959 Chevy truck and a 1928 Chevy coupe. He was a quiet soul, but was very creative, inventive, kind, faithful, considerate, and funny.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly (Herring) Anthony; two daughters, Allyssa Anthony and Jennifer Grider; two granddaughters, Dakota and Charlotte Grider; and an uncle, Mike Picanso.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Ernestine Ann (Picanso) Anthony; and brothers, Mark and David Anthony.

A celebration of Philip’s life will be held at 2 p.m., April 20, 2024 at the family residence, Markleville, IN. In leu of flowers, donations can be given to the American Heart Association in Philip’s honor.
