Peggy Prentice Fisher, 85, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Community Hospital-Anderson.
She was born December 22, 1929 in McCordsville, the daughter of Merton and Naomi (Apple) Gardner. She lived in Anderson all of her adult life. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Ladies Auxillary of the Shrine Club and the Ladies Auxillary of the Anderson VFW. She was an avid bowler, who at one time won the City Tournament. She was also a Cub Scout Leader.
Peggy is survived by her children, Michael (Kathryn) Prentice, Michelle Matthews and Steve (Stuart Lamar) Prentice, all of Anderson; grandchildren, Mikial Prentice and Alex Shaw; siblings, David (Jane) Gardner and Ruthann (Don) Lawyer; her special friend, Bear, the dog; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Gardner Prentice; second husband, Ivan Fisher; and two grandchildren, Jocelyn Matthews and Zachary Matthews.
Funeral services will be held at 6PM, Friday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Steve Gettinger officiating. Burial will be at Gravel Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4-6PM on Friday at the funeral home
