Peggy Joan Farrington, 83, of Anderson, passed away on March 31, 2020 at her residence. She was born on September 1, 1936 in Anderson to the late Nathan and Catherine (Schreiber) McMillan. Peggy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Innisdale United Brethren In Christ Church. She loved children and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Brenda Franklin, William “Billy” (Julie) Franklin, Belinda (Gary) Franklin-Clark, Barbie Franklin, Becky Franklin, Patrick (Deanna) Stone, Bobby Stone, Donna Sanders, James Stone, Marty Stone; her grandchildren, Jenny Pennington, Josh Hartley, Kevin Walters, Jerry Gibbs, Steve Gibbs, Majauna Wilson, Lucas Purciful, Cody Franklin, Krystal Wilson, Monte Purciful, Tyler Franklin, Brody Franklin, Logan Hood, Dylan Stone, Colt Welsh, Cole Stone; and her great grandchildren, Shante, Alexis, Cecelia, Wyatt O., Nijiauna, Azaryah, Ireland, Wesley, Brady, Damaz, Cody, Wyatt, Brett, Walker, Axe, Vinny, Lucas, Elon, Crosby, Nolan, Kane, Waylon; several nieces and nephews, and long- time friends, Mary Robinette and Ella Mae Lathan. Peggy was preceded in death by her husbands, William Earl Franklin, Robert G. Stone, John Wayne Farrington; her children, Ralph “Buddy” Franklin, Johnny Stone; and her siblings, Patricia, Shirley, and Jimmy. A Private Family Farewell will be held at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral & Cremation Service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Madison County Children’s Bureau at childrensbureau.org/donate.
