Peggy Jean Hess

Peggy Jean Hess, 84, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022.

She was born May 2, 1937, in Wise, Virginia to the late Eugene & Irene (Sexton) Gilliam.

Peggy retired from General Motors.

She is survived by her children, Tammi (husband, Gregg) Moore, Steve (wife, Amy) Hess, & Melanie (husband, Dennis) Vanness; grandchildren, Corey Moore, Brandon (wife, Jordan) Moore, Joshua McFarland, Hunter Hess, & Ashley Hess; and great grandchildren, Maci Moore & Callie McFarland. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Hess; brother, Jerry Gilliam; and great grandson, Chandler Jude Moore.

Services will be at 11 am Friday, March 4 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will from 10 am until the time of services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
