Paula L. Hughel

Paula L. Hughel, age 56, of Northeast Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020 at her residence. She was born on April 25, 1964 in South Bend, IN. She graduated from Ball State University and received her master degree from Lindenwood University. She retired from General Motors after 30 years where she worked in engineering and management. Paula was involved in Boy Scouts of America for 18 years, including 7 years as a Scout Master for Troop 777, where she also served on the Wood Badge Staff and National Youth Leadership Staff. She was also a Precinct Committeeman. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Hughel of Indianapolis; two sons, Andrew Hughel and Zachary Hughel both of Indianapolis; step son, Thomas Edward (Patricia) Hughel of Noblesville and step daughter, Martina (Justin) Slone of Portland, OR; two grandchildren, Allison and Griffin Hughel of Noblesville; brother in law and sister in law, Craig and Toni Hughel of Noblesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Nymberg; three sisters, Laura Ulrich, Vicki Ritchie and Patricia Sisk; father in law and mother in law, Edward and Vivian Hughel. Visitation, with social distancing, will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service and Crematory. A Private Family service will take place in the Chapel at Maplewood Cemetery with entombment to follow.
