Paul Jackson, 89, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Countryside Manor Health & Living Community after an extended illness.

He was born August 12, 1926 in Evansville to the late Herman, Sr. and Zelma (Leonard) Jackson and has lived in Anderson since 1935.

Paul served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1952 and then retired from Delco-Remy in 1982 after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Mary Jackson of Noblesville; grandson, Kyle Jackson of Greenwood; granddaughter, Tyler Reels of Daleville; sisters, Anna Summers of Indianapolis, Ruth Radecky of Anderson and Pat Tudor of Gainesboro, TN; brother, Darrell Jackson of Anderson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Jackson; son, Barry Jackson; brothers, Herman Jackson, Jr. Earl Jackson, Ernest Jackson and Lewis Jackson; sisters, Esther Thompson and Lois Reasoner.

Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 266 Honor Guard.

Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
