Paul Hamilton, 72, peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 10th of 2021 after a year-long battle with cancer. His final moments were spent with family by his side and the lord in his heart as he was strong in his faith.
True to personality, the last few months were spent joking with the doctors and flirting with the nurses, at times making them blush. He never lost his sense of humor.
A special thanks goes out to all the wonderful doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, coordinators and clergy who provided invaluable and impeccable care.
A simple man really, who always had a schedule. He loved home grown tomatoes and watching his fruit trees bloom in the spring. He never shied away from talking politics/religion and couldnt wait to read the Sunday paper or make an inappropriate joke during family dinners. He often reminisced about the coldest beer he had ever drank and the best pizza that went with it.
A big part of Pauls life was his military service. He was a proud patriot and veteran. He courageously served his country for 2 years as a mortarman for the United States Army during the Vietnam War. "Big Red 1" He loved what the American flag represented and he fought for what he believed in. He was a true hero in his childrens eyes! We "Thank You" for your service.
Paul will forever be loved and remembered by his children, Beth (Brent) Ennen and Scott (Amanda) Hamilton. He was also very proud of his seven grandchildren, Carlee, Megan, Emma, Brycen, Zayden, Hudsen, and Austen Paul. He will also be greatly missed by extended family and friends.
