Paul Gladney

Paul Gladney Sr., 93, Lapel, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021, peacefully, surrounded by his family at his residence in Lapel following a brief illness.He was born April 2, 1927, in Lauderdale, Alabama to Henry Gladney and Stellia (Killen) Gladney.Paul was a proud Navy veteran of World War II. He retired from Donnelly Glass. Paul loved his yard work, and spent his relaxing time being a sportsman. Paul was a member of the Chesterfield American Legion, and the Fortville VFW. He is survived by his wife Charlene Gladney of Lapel; children, Paul Jr. (Anita) Glandey, Jane (Gladney) Mulkey, John Gladney, Marshall R. (Linda) Bain, Michael (Jodi) Bain, Paula (Gladney) (Tony) Smart, Timmy Lee (Julie) Gladney, Debra (Gladney) (Jeff) Albea; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Paul was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Spencer Gladney; three sister's, Sue Odom, Margaret Sullivan, and Lillian Urban.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Robah Bain and Rev. Michael Block officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chesterfield American Legion, Post 408.Military Rites will be conducted by the Lapel American Legion Post 212.Health precautions for the safety of the family and friends will include facial coverings and social distancing at all times.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
