Patty Lou Corn, 83, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville following an extended illness. She was born on June 26, 1931, in Lapel, Indiana to Guy and Blanche (Sinders) Whetsel. She graduated from Lapel High School in 1949. Patty retired as manager of Lampco Federal Credit Union in Anderson after several years of employment. She was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church; and the Lapel American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by one son, Kevin (wife, Renee) Brattain of Lapel; one granddaughter, Ashley (husband, Matt) Andryuk of Noblesville; two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Ellianna Andryuk; one sister, Jackie (husband, Jack) Howell of Lapel; and her special friend, Jim Troutman of Lapel. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Emmett and Trevor Whetsel; and her husband, Robert Corn. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 30, 2015, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Steve Holdzkom officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm 7:00 pm Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lapel Girl's Basketball, 1850 South 900 West, Lapel, IN 46051.
