Patty L. Murphy

Patty L. (Roberts) Murphy, 86, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2020, at Lindberg Crossing Nursing Home, in Anderson. She was born July 5, 1934, in Greenfield, Indiana to Milford and Isadora (Raymer) Roberts. Patty had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel, especially with her husband of 30 years, Larry Murphy, who preceded her in death. While living in Anderson, she built a community of friends through her 18 years as a sales associate at Kmart and her devotion to faith as a member of Bethany Christian Church. Sharing with friends and family brought her great joy, whether it was a delicious homemade treat or her famous Christmas newsletter. Her siblings, Thomas Roberts, Phyllis Ballard and Wilma Ewing preceded her in death. She is survived by her sisters, Doris Wilson and Sondra Stanfield. Over the years, several pets became beloved companions to Patty. Please consider donating to The Humane Society in lieu of flowers. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Friday, October 16, 2020 at Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton, with Pastor Bob Bell officiating.
