Patricia J. Sibert

Patricia J. Sibert, 92, of Middletown, formerly of New Castle, passed away October 5, 2020, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born, July 10, 1928, in Bicknell, Indiana the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Deal and graduated from New Castle High School in 1946. She enjoyed collecting angels and bells and was a member of the First Christian Church in New Castle. Patricia volunteered many hours with the Nation Kidney Foundation in Muncie. Patricia is survived by her children, Phyllis (David) Brown and John Iterman; grandchildren, Jerry “Butch” (Melissa) Benbow, Shannon (Chuck) Benbow Luke and Heidi (Steve) Benbow Nelson; great grandchildren, Alivia and Hayden Benbow; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Sibert; a son, Jeffery Sibert; brothers, Bill Deal and Jerry Deal. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Lance Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or the Dementia Society of America. Due to recent COVID-19 mandates, all guests are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
