Pamela Sue Rector

Pamela Sue Rector, 71, Pendleton, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020, at her residence in Pendleton following an extended illness.She was born on March 27, 1949, in Anderson to Elden Markle and Joyce (Whitaker) Markle.Pam graduated from Markleville High School in 1967.She retired in 2011 from Cara Brandom Insurance in Pendleton. She previously worked in the Banking business for several years. Pam was a faithful member of the Markleville North Christian Church. Pam enjoyed visiting Florida and spending time with her husband Jerry and her son Brent and family. Pam enjoyed sitting in the driveway visiting with her friends and neighbors. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry Rector of Pendleton; son Brent (Carmen Schilling) Rector of Fishers; siblings, Linda (Bobby) Page of Noblesville, Tonya (Randy) Slickenmyer of Greenfield, Mike (Karen) Markle of Mechanicsburg, and Rene (Tim) Davis of Noblesville; nieces, Oliva Slickenmyer, Lauren Bickel, Mollie Markle, Amanda Hartman, and Jessica Gspandl. She was also survived by many other great-nieces and nephews, and a special Aunt, Nancy (Kyle) Sandefur. Pam was preceded in death by her parents.A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Markleville North Christian Church, 32 State St., Markleville, Indiana with Pastor John Hackney officiating. Burial will follow in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to Markleville North Christian Church.Arrangements are being entrusted to the Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 N.
