Pamala Byers

Pamala D. (Foutz) Byers, 66, of Anderson, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on February 25, 2016 at Community Hospital.

She was born on October 23, 1949 in Anderson to John and Eva (Mahan) Foutz. She graduated from Indiana State and Butler University and had resided in Anderson for the past 25 years. She has been working for Community Health for over 25 years.

Pamala devoted her life to taking care of her family and helping others.

She is survived by her mother, Eva Foutz of Anderson; her daughter, Stephanie Aikin of Anderson; her son, Alex J. Byers of Anderson; four granddaughters, Savanna Aikin, Samantha Aikin, Sarah Aikin and Gwendolene Byers; brother, Rick Foutz of Long Beach, CA; cousin, Shara (husband, Harry) Dougherty of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Foutz; aunt and uncle, Herald and Geneva Smiley; and her son in law, John Aikin.

Services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Mike Weber officiating. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
