Ola King, 86, passed away January 4, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
She was born Friday, June 1, 1928 to the late William and Emma (Buck) Davis in Overton County, Tennessee. She had lived in Anderson for 65 years.
Ola is survived by her 4 daughters, Linda K. Smoak of Anderson, Barbara (Paul) Tinch of Middletown, Janette (Jimmy) Linder of Daleville, and Sharon (Carey) Corzine of Anderson; 2 sons, Donald (Kathy) King of Lapel and Gary (Angela Hudson) King of Middletown; sisters, Zelma Beaty and Myrtie Ledbetter, both of Cookeville, TN; sister-in-law, Melba Davis of Baxter, TN; sister-in-law, Tina (Thomas) Cox of Glasgow, KY; grandchildren, Ronald (Char) Tinch, Chris Linder, Scott (Amanda) King, Angela King, Melissa (Stephen) Matthews, Heather McBride, Nicole (Justin) Ellingwood; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James William King; son, Steven M. King; brothers, Perry, Luther, Edward, George, and Hack Davis; and son-in-law, R. Wayne Smoak.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 9 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with visitation from Noon until time of services. Burial will be at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
