O. Irene Shuck

September 15, 1933 — February 9, 2015

O. Irene Shuck, 81, passed away February 9, 2015 at Community Hospital, Anderson, after an extended illness. She was born in Anderson on September 15, 1933. She attended Anderson High School. She was a homemaker and worked briefly at Delco-Remy and as a home health aide.

She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Doug (Nancy) Shuck and Linda Holland; grandchildren, Justin (Lori) Shuck, Kelly (Adam) Blizzard, Jeremy Holland and Nathan Holland; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Kayleigh and Addison Shuck, Natalie Blizzard and a new baby due in July; sisters, Evelyn Schinlaub and Jo Ann Richey; brother, Vance (Pat) Justice; and very special friend, Marshall Clark and his family. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law and friends, Betty Paul, Ida Shuck and Mary Salisbury, and many much-loved nieces and nephews and their families.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Herbert Shuck; parents, Guy V. Justice and Juanita Smith Justice Roberts; seven sisters and three brothers.

She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her great-granddaughters. She loved art – painting and drawing – travel, camping, antiques, flower gardening and decorating her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Paul Trent officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
