Ms. Nyla Sue Craig

Nyla Sue Craig, 83, formerly of Shirley, passed away after an extended illness, on Saturday, October 13, 2018, in Franklin. Sue owned and operated her own beauty shop before working for the Hancock County Sherriff’s Office. She worked as a dispatcher then as a jailer, before retiring after 25 years. She then enjoyed working at her sister’s greenhouse, where she planted flowers. Sue is survived by her daughter, Sonnie (husband, Randy) Smith; son, Andy (wife, Bonnie) Craig; grandchildren, Susan (husband, Brandon) Davis, Brian Borgmann, Chris (wife, Erika) Borgmann, Joshua Smith, Stacy Smith, and Shane Smith; great grandchildren, Ella, Emma, & Elayna Coy, Khloe & Keegan Borgmann; sisters, Sonnie Riggs, Nancy Wisehart, Polly McCord, and Rene (husband, Jim) Orahood; nine nephews; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald Craig; brother, Ray “Butch” Riggs; and grandson, Adam Coy. Per Sue’s wishes there will be no services. Arrangements were entrusted to Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson.
