Norman “Leroy” Lanning

Norman “Leroy” Lanning, 61, of Anderson, passed away on November 28, 2018 at Providence of Anderson. He was born on June 9, 1957 in Anderson and lived here his entire life. He graduated from Anderson High School, a member of the Class of 1976 and worked in construction. He had an artistic side, evidenced by his talent in drawing and leatherworking. Norman is survived by his siblings, Judy (Tom) Watson of Chesterfield, Charles (Arlene) Lanning, Jr. of Anderson, Carmen (Jeff) Brown of Alexandria and Tina (Carl) Johnson of Anderson; step-sister, Penny (Ray) Hiner of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Eugene Lanning, Sr.; mother, Agnes Louise Ramsey; step-father, James Ramsey; and girlfriend, Penny Richardson. Services will be on Monday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Paul Featherstone officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
