Norma Violet (Scott) Farr, 94, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Rawlins House in Pendleton. She was born March 23, 1923 in Perth, Australia. Norma served proudly in the Australian Navy during WWII as a decoder. That was where she met the love of her life, Benjamin. He was in the U.S. Navy and both were stationed out of Fremantle, Australia. They resided in Elwood for many years before moving to Anderson Norma loved her family and was a very devoted wife and mother. She sacrificed much for her family. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, dancing, feeding her birds and her many pets. She worked at Community Hospital as a ward clerk. Survivors include her children, Gloria (Mike) Janes, Janet (Euan) Caddell, Jeff Farr, Ellen (David) Levon; grandchildren, Jessica (Campbell) White, Heather (David) Chacon, Jennifer Janes, Angela (Kris) Mullins, Staci (Ryan) Thompson, Joshua Farr, Alex Farr; great grandchildren, Ava and Oliver Thompson, Zoe Mullins, and Graeme Chacon. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Rawlins House for the kindness and care they gave to Norma during her stay. Services will be on Monday at 1:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Michael Canada officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Madison County Humane Society in Anderson.
