WINTER HAVEN FLORIDA- Norma S. Williams, formally of Anderson, passed away January 4, 2015 in Florida. She was born February 12, 1925, in Jasonville, Indiana, one of eight children born to John and Elizabeth Sexton.
Fresh out of high school, Norma moved to Anderson and began a career at Delco Remy. After 33 years on the assembly line, mostly at Plant 6, she retired at age 55.
Away from the cold and snow, the Sunshine State welcomed Norma. She was an avid golfer, often enjoying a round of golf with one or more of her sons. She loved to ballroom dance and won many competitions over the last 20 years. Always a stylish dresser, Norma loved to be decked out for the occasion, be it on the ballroom floor or the 18th green, Norma had style.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory (Kathy) Williams of Tavares Fl., Douglas (Marla) Williams of Burlington NC., Christopher (Vicky) Williams of Buckeye AZ.; grandchildren, Amanda, Katy, Amber, Brian, Jabin, Megan, Nicklaus, Taylor, Alex, Andy, Brett, and Madison; great grandchildren, Ryland, Ava, Zoe, Justin, Layla, Emma, and Nolan.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams; son, Jeffery Williams; granddaughter, Heather Williams Windsor; and her siblings, Walter, Everett, Johnny, Dorothy, Juanita, Maxine, and Robert.
Visitation will be Sunday, from 4 – 6 p.m., at Brown-Butz- Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
A Graveside Service will be held at noon, Monday at East Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. Paul Gilmore officiating.
