Norma Ritz

Norma Ritz, 94, of Pendleton passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Pendleton. She was born December 13, 1923 in Vigo County near Terre Haute.Norma graduated from Indiana State Teachers College in 1945. She lived in Pendleton since 1948 and was a teacher at Pendleton High School and Pendleton Heights High School for 29 years retiring in 1984.She was a member of Pendleton First United Methodist Church.Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Gordon Ritz.Survivors include children, Gary (wife, Glenda) Ritz of Carmel, Greg (wife, Cherie) Ritz of Pendleton and Kathy (husband, Jeff) Bertsch of Fishers; four grandsons, Phillip (wife, Jennifer) Ritz of Mt. Airy, Maryland, Adam (wife, Tara) Ritz of Middletown, Brandon (wife, Janette) Ritz of Riverside, California and Dustin Ritz of Pendleton; and seven great grandchildren.Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Pastor Doug Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Lahm Chapel.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pendleton First United Methodist Church, 225 W.
