Norma Jean Wigner, 82, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 26, 2015.
She was born in Anderson on February 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Lestie and Benjamin Trueblood. On February 3, 1950 she married Wilmer “Buck” H. Wigner and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2000. In 1983 she retired from Delco-Remy after 30 years of service. She then volunteered at St. John’s Hospital.
Norma is survived by her son, Walt (Theda) Wigner; three sisters, Janice (Jerry) Trietsch, Pearl Kimmerling and Bertha Millspaugh; and three grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Harless, Warren Wigner and Tricia (Michael) Rapin. The union between Walt and Theda brought Jackiy (Marshall) Farmer and Thomas (Heather) Surface; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters-in-law, Ann Trueblood and Zelma Trueblood; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Wilmer, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Trueblood, Jesse Trueblood, Harold Trueblood and Ernest Trueblood; and sister Louise Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am. on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Vincent Hospice.
