Norma Jean Baute

Norma Jean Baute, 88, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2019. She was born on August 24, 1931 in Muncie to the late William and Thelma (VanFleet) Graves. Norma attended Daleville and Middletown schools. She resided in the Anderson and Middletown area. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She loved talking to all people, she never met a stranger, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Norma is survived by her children, David (Susan) Baute, Nancy (Dick) Caplinger, Jay (Pam) Baute, Mindy (Brendan) Belmont; grandchildren, Aaron (Jennifer) Baute, Alicia Crawford, Amanda (Mike) Westcott, Cory (Jodie) Caplinger, Ross Corson, Emily (Ben) Hardwick, John (Sarah) Baute, Tim (Becca) Baute, Megan (AJ) Sanchez, Connor Fee, Garrett Fee, Luke Belmont; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Baute, Tyler Baute, Jareem Westcott, Khaliq Westcott, Van Caplinger, Keala Caplinger, Lily Hardwick, Laney Hardwick, Selah Baute. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Baute. Per Norma Jean’s wishes, a private service will be held. The family encourages family and friends to celebrate Norma Jean’s life in their own special way.
