Nina Pearl Norris

Nina Pearl Norris, 85, Lapel, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Community Parkview Care Center in Elwood following a brief illness. She was born on September 16, 1926, in Burkesville, Kentucky to Isom and Myrtie (Harvey) McIntyre. She is survived by one son, James "John" (wife, Sue) Norris of Lapel; one granddaughter, Kim (husband, Jeff) Mackey of Lapel; one great-granddaughter, Whitney Mackey of Lapel; three sisters, Bernice Johnson, Mary Simmons, and Ruby Cosby all of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie B. Norris; one sister, Mae Bowen; and one brother, Ed McIntyre. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association and American Lung Association.
