Nathan Landaker

March 10, 1930 — October 14, 2017

Nathan Landaker, 87, of Anderson, passed away October 14, 2017 at Countryside Manor. He was born March 10, 1930, in Harford City, the son of the late Ben and Katie (Hone) Landaker and graduated from Hartford City High School in 1949. After high school, he began to work at several local factories eventually securing a job with Delco-Remy where he became a tool and die maker. He retired from Delco after 30 years of employment. Nathan had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years and an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He also volunteered for years at the Anderson Police Department helping put in information on computers. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nedra Landaker; a daughter, Deena (Jan) Deford of Anderson; two grandchildren, Deonn (Allison) Deford of Orange, Calif., Chantel (Gil Gomez) Deford, of Long Beach, Calif.; two great granddaughters, Drea Deford and Ivy Deford of Orange, Calif.; sister-in-law, Karen Zierer of Anderson; brothers-in-law Marvin Cox of Centralia, Wash., and Pierre Cox of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Nathan was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Landaker; one brother and five sisters. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastors Gary Cable and Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene.
