Nancy R Dickerson

Nancy R. Dickerson, 86, of Anderson, passed away January 30, 2018 at Community Northview Care Center. Nancy was born Oct. 12, 1931, in Muncie, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Rogers. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1949 and moved to Anderson. She retired from Delco-Remy in 1987 after 37 years of employment. Nancy was known for her loving, welcoming spirit. Friends and family alike always felt safe and secure under her roof. Cats, dogs, birds, and various other animals could also find refuge at the Dickerson home. She enjoyed getting her hair done, working crossword puzzles, solving cryptoquotes and especially shopping. She is survived by her children, Mike (Beth) Dickerson, Jim Dickerson, and Erin (Sandy) Roberts; grandchildren, Brody Dickerson, Mandi (Devin) Griffith, Chandler Dickerson, Geoff (Mikaela) Dickerson, Courtney Dickerson, Mary Beth (Brett) Bailey and Race (Kim) Roberts; great grandchildren, Morgon, Blake, Gavin, Addison, Brannon, Jordan and Michael; and sister-in-law, Marguerite Rogers. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, William Dickerson Jr.; brothers, John Rogers and Jim Rogers; a sister, Mary Dalzell. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. The family is grateful for the compassionate care that Nancy received at Community Northview.
