Nadine Boles, 87, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.
She was born on April 19, 1922, in Hillham, Tennessee to Sam and Mary (Cox) Boles.
Nadine had worked as a cook at the Lapel School and she cared for many eldery people.
She was a member of the Fishersburg Wesleyan Church; and the Lapel American War Mothers
She is survived by two children, Sylvia Holt of Plainfield, and Estes (wife, Sharon) Boles of Lapel; five grandchildren, Michael (wife, Michelle) Boles of Alexandria, Matthew (wife, Stacy) Boles of Noblesville, Garland (wife, Michelle) Holt, III of Martinsville, Tammy (husband, Lloyd) Greenwood of Celina, TN, and Tonya Holt of Celina, TN; eleven great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Sue Maxwell of Toronto, Canada; her former son-in-law, Garland Holt, Jr. of Celina, TN; and three step-children, Mayford Boles of Celina, TN, Norman Boles of State Line, KY, and Judy (husband, Bobby) Lynn of Celina, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mart Boles; one brother, Lonnie Boles; and two sisters, Hassie Dulworth and Ella Mae.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 17, 2009, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Kenneth Sandefur officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society; or Riley Childrens Hospital.
