Myrtle I. Montgomery

Myrtle I. (Stottlemyer) Montgomery, 87, Lapel, passed away Wednesday February 5, 2003, at Miller's Senior Living Center in Indianapolis after a brief illness. She was born on July 3, 1915, in Madison County, Indiana to Harry and Jessie (Graham) Stottlemyer. She was a 1933 Lapel High School Graduate and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Gene Montgomery of Phoenix, AZ; a sister-in-law, Grace Whitmer of San Diego, CA; three cousins, Dean Presser of Lapel, Ruth Boone Herron of Lapel, and Arlene Pettigrew of Lapel; and her caregivers, Margaret and Sergio Comarella of Fishers. She was preceded in death on November 16, 1989 by her husband Joseph J. Montgomery whom she married July 28, 1935. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev.s Evan Lash and Duane Stidham officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Scott E.
