Myrneth Rex Renner, 95, Noblesville, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013, at his home. He was born on September 28, 1918, in Hamilton County, Indiana to Earl and Goldie (Reddick) Renner. He graduated from Lapel High School and had served in the U. S. Army Air Force during WWII. Rex retired in 1988 from the former Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson. He was a member of the Lapel American Legion Post 212. He enjoyed gardening, home repair, and sports. He is survived by four children, Greg Renner of Estill Springs, TN, Randy (wife, Cathy) Renner of Noblesville, Trish Renner of Indianapolis, and Spencer Renner of San Francisco, CA; two grandchildren, Angie (husband, Matt) Morgan and Mike (wife, Jessie) Renner both of Noblesville; and four great-grandsons, Drew and Dylan Morgan, and Rex and Cameron Renner. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Nedlene (Johnson) Renner; two brothers, Macel and Jake Renner; and a sister, Lavon Elkins. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Lapel American Legion at 3:30 pm Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzeheimers Association.
