Ms. Iona Margaret King

Iona Margaret King passed away on December 13, 2022, at her home with family around her.

She was born in Arkansas on February 25, 1942 but moved to Anderson as a child and lived there most of her life. She worked outside the home at RCA, Amick Electric and Western Electric for many years. Her passion in life was her family.   She was honest to a point, kind, faithful and giving.  She loved deeply and unconditionally.

Her mother Vivian Morgan and Aunt Margaret and husband Johnnie of 62 years preceded her in death.

Her daughters & sons-in-law, Tammy & Brian Hutton and Karen & Troy Flint, survive her.  She was blessed with grandchildren Matthew, Kelly, Kagney, Danny, Kelsey, Kirby and Karley, along with 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her best friend Shirley Swango, who was like a sister to her.

Graveside services will be at 1 pm Wednesday, December 21, at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11-12:45pm at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or UNICEF or a charity for children.
