Mrs. Jane A. Swinford

Jane A. Swinford, 90, of Anderson, passed away Sunday evening, August 13, 2023, with loved ones by her side. She was born August 20, 1932, to William and Wilmetta (Wayts) Renforth. She was a 1950 graduate of Anderson High School. Jane retired from Delco-Remy after 42 years of service. She loved antiquing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She was a selfless mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She showed her love with endless affection and her constant presence in their lives.

She is survived by her daughters, Verlinda Gwynn and Sheila (Tim) Smart; grandsons, Bryon (wife, Michelle) Gwynn, Brandon (wife, Julie) Smart, Kyle (wife, Tonya) Gwynn, Kurtis Smart; granddaughter, Krista (fiancé, Keith) Swinford; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Matthew, Kevyn, Jaysen, Kasen, and Kenna; step-great-granddaughters, Emma and Kate Hayden; and cousin, Senator Mack Mattingly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 69 years, Marvin; son, David; son-in-law, Mike Gwynn; and brothers, Jack and Bill Renforth.

Per Jane’s wishes, there will be no visitation/viewing. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Huntsville Cemetery with Rev. Neal Brown presiding.
