Terry Lee “Ralphy” Pruitt, 77, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022.
He was born January 16, 1945, in Anderson. Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. He retired from Guide Lamp where he worked in receiving.
Terry was fun loving but hard working and beyond generous. He bought, sold, and traded horses. He took great enjoyment in finding children their first pony. Terry loved spending time in Brown County, trail riding, sitting around the campfire, and playing euchre. You did not trump his ace! Spending time with his family was very important and he’d give special nicknames for those special to him.
Terry is survived by his partner in crime of 30 years, Sue Tarvin; children, Terry Lee “June Bug” Pruitt, Jr., Glenn “Prairie Dog” Pruitt, Jamie “Stymie” (wife, Nancy “Honda Girl”) Pruitt, Kim “Cracker Jack” (husband, Eddie) O’Dell, & Heidi “Pumpkin Seed” (husband, Nick “Hey Buddy”) Ooley; grandchildren, Jerrica, Dakota, Caden, Chance, Trevor, Macee, Ethan, Aiden, Austin, Alex, Gunner, & Ryan; great grandchildren, Ellie, Maggie, Madison, Adley, Payson and one on the way ; brother, David Pruitt; sister, Susie Rogers; and sidekick, JoAnn “Pearl” Pruitt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen & Pat Pruitt and Arlene & Jack Faulkenburg.
Services will be at 10 am Saturday, December 10 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Royce Templteon officiating. His final resting place will be at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
