Mr. Marion Leo Thomas

Marion Leo Thomas, 88, of Anderson, passed away Friday, November 25th, 2022.

He was born May 11th, 1934 in Cannelton, Indiana to the late Robert and Ruth Thomas.

Marion was the General Manager of Culligan Water in Anderson from 1997 until his retirement in 2015. He began a successful sales career at the Thom McAn Shoe Store in Indianapolis, and later traveled the midwest as a Sales Representative for Supreme Optical. He was also a 20- year Staff Photographer at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where he photographed the month of May from 1960 to 1980. In addition to being an avid racing fan, he also enjoyed following the Indiana Hoosiers, Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Chambers Thomas; son, Rex A. Thomas (Sherry); daughter, Monica L. Meadows (Mike); grandchildren. Crystal Elliott, William Wire, Alex Thomas, Nathaniel Meadows; brothers-in-law, Shannon Chambers (Bonnie), Steve Chambers (Helen), Anthony Euler, Gary Godbey; several nieces and nephews; and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Russell Thomas, Jerry Thomas; sisters-in-law Gaylen Chambers Euler and Bette Chambers Godbey; Father and Mother-in-law, Shannon and Elizabeth Chambers.

Private services were held at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. The arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
