Mr. John Thomas Cook

October 24, 1939 — May 27, 2022

John Thomas Cook, 82, passed away May 27, 2022.

He was born October 27, 1939, in Fortville to the late, Vernon & Doris (Chappel) Cook.  John retired from Delta Faucet but had previously worked over 35 years at Brookside Corporation in McCordsville.  He was an avid sports fan, always cheering for IU, the Colts, Jimmy Johnson, & Jeff Gordon.

John is survived by his children, Melinda Garner, Melanie (husband, Kenny) Morgan, Melissa (husband, Wayne) Carmany, Alice Maklem, & Brian Douglas; brother, Jesse Cook; daughter-in-law, Shelly Mole; grandchildren, Camilla K. Cook, Charles Garner, Jr., Brandon Polston, Waylon Polston, Mindy Meeks, Amanda Ludwig, Amy Carmany, Ashley Forgus, Cameron Douglas, Brianna Douglas, Amber Burdine, Nick Folino, & Jessica Mole; several great grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Deloris “Dee” Cook; siblings, Mary Ellen Huff, Pat Webb, Vera Gean Ferguson, Vernona Cook, Judy Small, Shirely Larkin, Doris McDole, Roma Woods, Terry Cook; son, Larry Pedicord; grandchildren, Jonathan Garner, Chad Garner, & Douglas Polston, Jr.

Services will be at 10 am Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel. Burial will be at Gravel Lawn in Fortville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
