Morris was a member of the Trinty United Methodist Church in Lapel. He was very active in the Emmaus community in Indiana where he gave several talks and sponsored many pilgrims. Morris cared about helping others both locally and abroad. He was very involved in mission projects having served in Lapel, Jamaica, Haiti, and Africa. He also was a member of the Lapel American Legion Post 625.
