Mori James Hersberger

Mori James Hersberger, 61, of Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a sudden illness.He was born on May 30, 1959, in Noblesville to Paul Herbert and Phyllis Ann (Hall) Hersberger.Mori was graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 1977.He was a lifetime farmer of the family farm.Mori played football throughout high school and loved doing mechanical work especially his Cameros and green truck. He was a NASCAR and boxing fan and had at one time enjoyed fishing and hunting.He was very proud of his 12 years of sobriety and the fact that he quit smoking three years ago.Mori is survived by his best friend and the love of his life, wife, Patty (Pickering); two children, Meghan (Travis) Wise and Joel Hersberger; his grandson, Grayson whom he adored; his mother, Phyllis; and his sister, Chris (Keith) Lynch.Mori was preceded in death by his father, Paul; and two nephews, Joshua Paul and Jordan Keith Lynch.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Lapel or Frankton FFA or the FFA organization of the donors choice.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
