Mitchell Lee Brinker

Mitchell Lee "Mick" Brinker, 66, Anderson, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on August 22, 1947, in Anderson, Indiana to M. Dale and Barbara (Patrick) Brinker. He graduated from Lapel High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mick had worked through the Carpenter's Union 1016 in Muncie. He was a member of the Lapel American Legion Post 212 and the Fortville V. F. W. Post 6904. He was an avid country music fan and enjoyed meeting many different artists. He is survived by two sisters, Lynn Carpenter of Noblesville and Nancy (husband, Bruce) Trezise of Terre Haute; a brother, Dan (wife, Patti) Brinker of Anderson; three sons, Mitchell Brian, Randy, and Todd Brinker; and two step-sons, Todd and Chad Daniels. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Sheila Brinker. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, September 13, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel where the Lapel American Legion Post will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday, September 13, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
