Mildred Marcum

Mildred C. Marcum, 93, of Anderson, passed away on May 2, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Hospital. She was born on March 5, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to the late Henry and Zelma (Latham) Catron. Mildred retired from General Motors in 1983 after 30 years of service as a Quality Control Supervisor. After retiring from General Motors, she was a Realtor for ten years. She was a member of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church and the Daleville Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis (Dennis) Parker of Anderson, Elaine (Bruce) Selenke of Oxford, Kansas; grandchildren, Craig (Amanda) Studt of Cumming, Georgia, Kelly (Jeff Davis) Vandermeer of Westminster, Colorado, Grace (Colin) Haney of Wichita, Kansas; great grandchildren, Will, Carson, James, Annika and several nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Marcum; brother and sister in-law, James and Ruth Catron; sister and brother in-law, Ima and Raymond Irwin and granddaughter, Cortney Brewer. Services will be held on Thursday, May 13th at 12:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Tim Overton officiating. Burial will be at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 13th at the funeral home.
