Mildred L. Pate

Mildred L. Pate, 93, Anderson, passed away December 18, 2015, at Lindberg Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness.

She was born November 2, 1922, in Anderson, the daughter of the late Robert and Bessie (O’Brian) Kaiser. She had worked at Gates Store and retired in 1988 from J.C.Penny’s Dept Store as a sales clerk. Mildred was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and Omega Nu Tau Sorority.

She is survived by two children, Sue (Bill) Presser of Anderson and Bob J. Pate of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Scott Presser of Anderson, Chuck Presser of Anderson, Andrea Presser of Anderson, Kristin Pate of Florida and Nikki Scott of Anderson; great grandchildren, William Madison Presser of Anderson, Jared Ray Scott serving in the US Air Force, Brayden William Presser of Shelbyville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, Henry I. Pate; a brother, Joseph Kaiser.

The family would like to thank Lindberg Crossing Health Center and St. John’s Hospice for all their care and concern.

Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Chris Mishler officiating. Entombment will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
