Mildred I. Holloway, 88, Bradenton, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008, at Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton.
She was born on December 18, 1919, in Noblesville, Indiana to Earl and Odessa (Mitchell) Everitt.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1938 and had lived in the Lapel and Anderson area until she moved to Lake Webster in her retirement years. She moved to Bradenton, Florida in 2000.
Mildred was a member of the Oneco United Methodist Church and was an avid bridge player.
She is survived by two children, Steven (wife, Leigh) Holloway and Janice (husband, Daniel) Brunner both of Bradenton, FL; two brothers, John (wife, Joan) Everitt of Lapel, and Robert (wife, Sharon) Everitt of Anderson; four grandchildren, Melinda (husband, Terry) Hayden of Pendleton, David (wife, Tara) Holloway of Noblesville, Christopher (wife, Michelle) Brunner of Pueblo, CO, and Bradley (wife, Lisa) Brunner of Bradenton; eight great-grandchildren, Alexis Hayden, Anastasia Hayden, Hannah Neal, Matthew Holloway, Haley Timms, Andrew Brunner, Jacob Brunner, and Emily Brunner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Carl F. Holloway; and a daughter, Lenita Louise Holloway.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Doug Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, October 17, 2008, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
