Michael Moffett

Michael Moffett, 77, of Lapel, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born on May 23, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Rex and Jeanette (Flory) Moffett.

He was a graduate of Indiana Tech. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.

He retired from Shaw Corporation as a carpet and tile installer. He loved traveling and white-water rafting.

Michael is survived by a son, Chad (wife, Chanda) Moffett of Lapel; a daughter, Christi Baker of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Michael Cross, Jonathon Cross, Matthew Hodges, Heather Hodges and Billy Windle; one great-granddaughter, Lynlee Windle; a sister, Sue Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife whom he loved dearly, Nancy Diane (Whobrey) Moffett; an infant daughter, Tammy Moffett; and his parents.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place.

Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 has been entrusted with Michael's care.
