Michael T. Ave, 70, of Pendleton, passed away March 6, 2015 at the Hancock Regional AMG Specialty Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Seattle, WA. on March 17, 1944, to Tom and Mary (Hagan) Ave. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1962 and Ball State University in 1968. In 2011, he retired from sales after 45 years of service.
Michael was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #563 and Amvets Post 26 in Pendleton.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joy Ave of Pendleton; three daughters, Lori Ave (Andy Whitton) of Marion, Michele Ave of Chicago, IL. And Elizabeth Ave Dee (Brian Bousman) of Carmel; six grandchildren, Alex Williams, Rachel Williams, Peyton Bousman, Maren Dee, Mia Dee and Landri Bousman; two sisters, Toni (Kit) Ford of McLean, VA. and Cathy Wilson of Colorado Springs, CO. and several nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mary Ave.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating. Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
