Mel Ott

Mel Ott, 68, of Noblesville, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021, at his Residence in Noblesville following a brief illness.He was born on December 19, 1952, in Chillicothe, Ohio to Robert Ott and Bette (Walker) Winings.Mel graduated from Noblesville High School.He retired from working with his brothers in the automotive industry, specializing in hydraulic lifts.Mel was a member of the Lapel Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie 4323.He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen Ott, one son, Eric Osthus-Ott, one daughter, Kitti (Scott) Lum, four brothers, Bobby Ott, Jack (Carol) Ott, Sonny Ott and Kim (Darla) Winings; One sister, Sherry Cook; One uncle, Chuck (Rachel) Ott, two aunts, Verona (Mark) Cook and Shirley Moore, Two grandchildren, Lexi Hughes and Ethan Hughes. Mel was also survived by many nieces and nephews.Mel was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Robert Ott.Mels wishes were to be cremated and there will be no formal services at this time.In memory of Mel, memorial contributions may be made to the Lapel Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie 4323.Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home has been entrusted to the services for the Ott family.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
