Maxine Ruth Mcmillen

Maxine R. McMillen, 86, passed away January 21, 2016, in Anderson.

She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 24, 1929, to the late Lawrence & Catherine (Southard) Chalfant.

Maxine retired from Delco-Remy, having retired in 1965.

She is survived by her children, Linda (husband, David) Walker, Ramona (husband, Jim) Knotts, and Ron (wife, Elsie) Wilbur; grandchildren, Jennifer (husband, Randy) Tapscott and their children, Morgan & Brianna Tapscott, Andy (wife, Jennifer) Walker and their children Jacob & Gabe Walker, Kenny (wife, Anne) Banning and children, Frank Banning, Leslie (husband, Kevin) Rittenhouse and daughter, Kris (husband, John) Geering and children, Joseph (wife, Melissa) Wilbur, & Jonathon Wilbur; cousin, Judy Bonnor and several other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. McMillen; daughter, Karen Wilbur Rhulen; brother, DeWayne Chalfant; grandson, Brian Walker; and great-grandson, Alec Michael Rittenhouse.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Mike Srbljan officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from Noon until time of services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospitals.
