Maxine Mcdonald

Maxine McDonald, 97, Pendleton, formerly of Anderson, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Rawlins House in Pendleton. She was born on May 25, 1915, in Alexandria, Indiana to William and Effie (Stephens) Jones. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1933. She was a member of the Saint Matthew United Methodist Church; and an over 50 year member of the former Lapel Order of Eastern Star Chapter 457. She is survived by two children, Gary (wife, Karen) McDonald and Marcia (husband, Phil) Estep both of Anderson; two granddaughters, Debbie (husband, John) Somerville of Anderson and Laura (husband, Ric) Vega of Zionsville; and five great-grandchildren, Emily and Holly Somerville, and Ricky, Anthony, and Grace Vega. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loren McDonald. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Memorial Cemetery, Noblesville. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. The family would like to thank Fall Creek Retirement Village and Day Break for their kind care of Maxine. Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
